Laboratory Technician in Bacterial Genetics (November 2022)

The Davey lab is a newly established lab in the department of Biochemistry and Microbiology that studies anaerobic intestinal microbes. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work on genetic engineering in the intestinal microbe Akkermansia muciniphila. Duties will include molecular biology techniques such as cloning, PCR, qPCR, and Western blotting, as well as genotypic and phenotypic analysis of bacterial strains.

Education

A BSc or graduate degree in an appropriate field of specialization, such as Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or any other relevant program

Experience

A minimum of one year of relevant experience in molecular biology
